The Center for Robotic Surgery at MidHudson Regional Hospital
Both the surgeon and the patient experience greatly improved benefits of robotic surgery, as compared to traditional laparoscopic or open procedures.
The Center for Robotic Surgery at MidHudson Regional Hospital offers patients the latest in minimally-invasive surgical approaches through the use of the da Vinci surgical system from Intuitive Surgical, Inc. MidHudson Regional Hospital offers robotic surgery for patients undergoing a wide variety of thoracic, urological, gynecological and oncology procedures.
Using da Vinci, traditional open surgery can be accomplished endoscopically, with smaller incisions. The da Vinci Surgical System has been used in tens of thousands of minimally-invasive procedures worldwide. For most patients, robotic surgery performed with the da Vinci Surgical System can offer numerous potential benefits over open surgery, including:
- Shorter hospital stay
- Less pain and scarring
- Less risk of wound infections
- Less blood loss and fewer transfusions
- Faster recovery
- Quicker return to normal activities
Our renowned surgeons are experts in a variety of minimally invasive techniques.
