We're home to the area's ONLY Level II Trauma center, but, we fix broken fingers too.
The George T. Whalen Family Trauma Center
MidHudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center is home to the area’s only Level II Trauma Center that provides lifesaving care to severely injured patients. The hospital’s facilities include a heliport and two trauma bays, with full time board-certified trauma surgeons on staff who are complemented by a talented team of orthopedic and reconstructive/aesthetic surgeons and neurologists. Over 9,000 trauma victims are cared for annually, making George T. Whalen Family Trauma Center the busiest Level II Trauma Center in New York State.
James J. McCann Emergency Care Center
Emergency medical services are provided by a team of highly skilled physicians, nurses, and clinicians who are supported by the latest imaging and diagnostic technology. The prompt care program allows patients with minor injuries or concerns to be evaluated and treated quickly. Each year, MidHudson Regional Hospital treats thousands of children, teenagers, adults, and seniors who are in need of urgent care for illnesses such as clinical depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse. The Father Brinn Center for Psychiatric Care within the Emergency Care Center is a first-class facility designed to meet the needs of patients in crisis. The MidHudson Regional team of behavioral health and medical experts works together to address patients’ needs and enable them to reach the highest possible level of recovery.
